We have been very busy in room 128!
Math- We are currently involved in our Algebra unit in which students are learning about the order of operations, coordinate planes and solving problems involving variables. This is a short unit and you can expect a test before February vacation.
Writing- Students have completed 5 paragraph persuasive essays. They wrote about topics that were important to them like the treatment of animals, taking care of our Earth and eating healthier. We are continuing our opinion writing unit with narrative and non-fiction responses to text.
Reading- Our second round of reading groups are complete and the students did an awesome job on their final projects. We are taking a couple of weeks off from groups to focus on whole class inferring lessons.
Science- We have completed our first unit, Earth and Sun and are now in our second unit, Living Systems. This unit is a little shorter than the last one but still covers a great deal of information. It is essential that all students are completing their science homework assignments each week.
